Service lines · Grand Prairie / DFW

Work that starts with a clear scope.

Jay and Sons works across three lanes. This page is a map, not a promise that every request is a fit. Send the context and we will confirm.

Lane 01

GC / handyman

Trade work done right the first time — repairs, installs, and small-to-mid builds across DFW. Clear scope, clean sites, one point of contact from visit to finish. Request a visit when you’re ready for eyes on the job.

Electrical and capacity

Wiring, fixtures, outlets, cleanups after DIY or renovation work, larger breakers, and capacity upgrades.

Cameras and PoE

Camera placement, mounting, power, Cat cable pulls, PoE drops, tidy terminations, and labeling.

Plumbing

Fixtures, shutoffs, minor repairs, and coordination when a renovation opens a wall.

Doors, locks, lights, furniture

Careful repairs, adjustments, locksets, fixtures, and furniture work.

Roofing

Leak triage, patching, and residential roof work within the scope we take on after a look.

Tall work and lifts

High mounts and select commercial height work, including Genie-lift work when needed.

General contracting / renovation

Project lead for remodels and multi-trade work: sequencing, punch lists, and finish. Partner GCs may handle foundations.

Lane 02

Built Smart

A separate brand for smarter builds and upgrades — planned for the house, then executed with Jay and Sons jobsite discipline.

Built Smart is about practical systems installed with field discipline: understand the site, route the work cleanly, and make the next maintenance step legible.

Lane 03

Autobotanists consulting

Hydroponics, irrigation, and sensor installs — consulting and field support. Jay consults; not an ownership claim.

Jay consults for Autobotanists on project advisory and install support. No ownership or employment claim is made here.
